Sonny Cho, President & CEO

Sonny Cho has extensive experience in assisting a wide variety of small and medium-sized businesses in technology, real estate, hospitality, retail and services. Mr. Cho is a seasoned advisor in new ventures, business acquisitions, dispositions, financing and international business development. His prior experience includes management and financial roles at Avantis Inc., Morguard Investments, Ivanhoe-Cambridge and Davnet Telecom. Mr. Cho served on several volunteer organizations including the Board of the Ontario Place Corporation and he is currently serving as the CEO of the Canada Korea Business Council, Business Advisor of KIGA Labs and Advisor of York University Centre for Asian Research. Mr. Cho is a business graduate of University of Toronto.

SeungHee Ahn, Operations Manager

SeungHee has an extensive experience in recruiting ESL teachers, operating summer camps for international students, tutoring and arranging exchange programs for school boards in Toronto region and Korea. At SCI, SeungHee is responsible for operations including marketing, communications and administration. SeungHee is a co-author of the book called “Succeed in Studying in Canada”, which is a comprehensive guide for Korean teenage students who want to study in Canada and their parents. Prior to coming to Canada, SeungHee worked as freelance scriptwriter for major Korean broadcasters. SeungHee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the Korea University.

James Bang, Consultant, Market Research

James is an award-winning economic development professional with a proven track record of supporting the site selection objectives of numerous domestic and international corporations. Previously, he worked for the County of Simcoe, Toronto Global (formerly the Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance), and Southeastern Aurora Development Corporation with specialized knowledge and extensive experience in municipal government, investment attraction, workforce development, and business retention & expansion. Currently, he is an Economic Development Officer for the City of Vaughan with a mandate to facilitate economic growth and job creation. James holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Public Policy) from the University of Waterloo and is also a member of the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) in good standing.

Robert Lee, Business Development Manager

Robert is a seasoned international business development manager. Robert has lived and worked in several countries including Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Vietnam and Korea. Robert’s experience in recruiting international students and working with people of various cultural backgrounds suits him well in recruiting international students and agents. Robert speaks Spanish and Korean in addition to English.
