Access to Finance Networks
Upon completion of the program, SCI provides its entrepreneurs with the opportunity to showcase and pitch their projects to angels, venture capitalists, incubators and accelerators. The “Demo Day” connects innovators with a significant industry network, and enables potential customers, partners and investors to get up close and personal with the entrepreneurs to learn about their business project, model, and goals.
Mentorship & Advisors
SCI ensures that our entrepreneurs have a wide selection of subject matter experts spanning diverse industries with whom to consult, be it accounting, legal, technical aid, communications, marketing, and more.
Networking and Industry Connections
The entrepreneurs have the opportunity to network with leading industry figures and investors at the SCI Demo Day at the end of the session. Entrepreneurs will also enjoy making new connections with their peer-cohort and their extended networks.
A Selection Committee comprised of industry experts and partners will be responsible for evaluating applications based on set criteria.
Entrepreneurs need as many opportunities as possible to showcase their companies. Upon successful completion of the training program, entrepreneurs will present their businesses at the exclusive Demo Day and pitch for the opportunity to receive funding from angels, venture capitalists and accelerators.
The Demo Day provides a concrete opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their business plan, models, and milestones to an investor audience, as well as create industry partnerships that will take their venture to the next step in development and success.
The entrepreneurs accepted by accelerators will undergo intensive 3-12 month program based on hosting accelerator’s program.
Successful entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to obtain a Letter of Support from an angel investor group, a venture capital fund or a business accelerator in attendance who are designated by the Government of Canada under its Start-Up Visa immigration stream.
